This family portrait session was an absolute pleasure to photograph. We did it in Nort Berwick as we wanted an outside location portrait session. But let’s start from the beginning….

Simon and Luisa approached me for my end term project . I knew from beginning  that this will be a great opportunity to take a photographs. I had in mind to get some unusual shots for project, so i asked them to provide me with list of hobbies or things what they like. And what I pleasure I had when they said that they like to play their instruments. Are there it was in my mind. Do a rock start lighting and make them jump

The session it self was done in their little bedroom and I had play around a bit to position all in one frame. Camera on the tripod and each of them I shot separately, as it would be much easier to concentrate on main goal. Dad took little boy and we did few troughs in the air and then he did a jump with guitar, baby playing with toy. Mum head back and rock-start hair flying. Most important was to pre visualize shot and then is just a matter of quick session.

As you can see brake down. Nothing too exciting. Everything pretty straight forward. Main goal was to make sure that images are not overlapping. And the final result was excatly what I was after.

It was a great pleasure and family took part in all process and enjoyed it. Thank you guys for giving me opportunity to be there and help you to get portrait which is slightly quirky and unusual.

Few weeks after as a thank for my rock session, we decided to do one beach shoot with some activities. Families love these, as they can run around and kids can enjoy themselves. And of course I have to run with everybody, so it a bit important to keep fit Kids can run very fast and I have to be often faster then them
