Cayden’s 1st birthday ‘Smash the Cake’ sneak peak | Edinburgh portrait studio

Thursday, April 7th, 2011

Hello everyone,

Birthdays are great fun. Lot’s of smily faces and presents. This time we said ‘Happy 1st Birthday!!!’ to little Cayden.

Cayden managed to catch a little cold %Edinburgh weddings, portrait and modeling photographer %Edinburgh wedding and portrait studio , but cake was baked already and there was no turning back time anymore. He was still in pretty good shape and was exploring, running and kicking stuff around. I must say that I haven’t seen so active 1st birthday boy for a while %Edinburgh weddings, portrait and modeling photographer %Edinburgh wedding and portrait studio he was great fun and smiled wide open %Edinburgh weddings, portrait and modeling photographer %Edinburgh wedding and portrait studio We managed to get some great shots and I’m looking forward to meet the family again.  Meanwhile here is a wee sneak peak of their session %Edinburgh weddings, portrait and modeling photographer %Edinburgh wedding and portrait studio

Newborn portrait photography with Kayla | Livingston portrait photographer

Monday, February 28th, 2011

Hello readers,

Here I am, back with one more great post about my newborn photo sessions. This is grand finale post about Kaylas photo session in Livingston. She was 3 weeks at the time and we had a bit iii beginning, but after that all went very well and here are the images. As always I learned new things, like to get a set of little pillows to avoid newborns sinking into the blankets. I had a little trouble with too shallow DOF, but now it all should be fine as new camera will be with me in few days. Will be able to use higher ISO. This session was definite success and we played a little bit with new ideas as well.

Have a look and let me know what do you think.

Edinburgh portrait photography studio | Tara’s family photo sneak peak

Sunday, February 20th, 2011

Hello everyone,

I met Tara’s family a few years back and I was asked to help out with children modeling portfolio preparation. We did a fantastic job back then and girls been successfully taking part in different advert campaigns and in various other things.

Then little Romeo arrived into this world and we been trying to get back for a photo session for a while now. But this day came and this time we went for the studio session. Little Romeo was performing some extraordinary dance moves and girls were quiet keen to show different gymnastic exercise. Now I know for the fact that I can’t do any of that, too stiff and old for this %Edinburgh weddings, portrait and modeling photographer %Edinburgh wedding and portrait studio

We had a great time and everyone was enjoying process. I’m glad to present this little sneak peak and would like to know what you think of this %Edinburgh weddings, portrait and modeling photographer %Edinburgh wedding and portrait studio

Smash the cake photography with Christian | Edinburgh baby portrait photographer

Sunday, February 6th, 2011

Hi guys,

Who loves the cakes and sweets?  Most likely it will be majority of you %Edinburgh weddings, portrait and modeling photographer %Edinburgh wedding and portrait studio So here we are and this time I would like to share my and little Christian’s experience during smash the cake session. Generally I would do these studio sessions for your babies at their 1st birthday. Something a little bit different and more funky.

Christian was just few month over his 1st birthday, but temptation for this session was so big, that we decided to give it a bash.

Decided to go with bluish color cake as it was a boys session %Edinburgh weddings, portrait and modeling photographer %Edinburgh wedding and portrait studio There was a bit confusion in his mind, wherever to touch the cake or not. Here is what happened when he accidently kicked the cake %Edinburgh weddings, portrait and modeling photographer %Edinburgh wedding and portrait studio Expression tells everything…

%Edinburgh weddings, portrait and modeling photographer %Edinburgh wedding and portrait studioIt was more of ” oh wow blue cake, unusual!!! what to do now!!! ” so I learned that maybe next time to do cakes in more settle colors %Edinburgh weddings, portrait and modeling photographer %Edinburgh wedding and portrait studio

With a lot of chasing, running after and returning to the cake, we managed to grab some more cake coverage images %Edinburgh weddings, portrait and modeling photographer %Edinburgh wedding and portrait studio

%Edinburgh weddings, portrait and modeling photographer %Edinburgh wedding and portrait studioAnd of course with encouragement from mum and dad we got some great smiles and excitement. Thank you Davina and Darren for all your support and play up game %Edinburgh weddings, portrait and modeling photographer %Edinburgh wedding and portrait studio

%Edinburgh weddings, portrait and modeling photographer %Edinburgh wedding and portrait studioAt the end we were all covered in blue cake, but happy smiling %Edinburgh weddings, portrait and modeling photographer %Edinburgh wedding and portrait studio It was great learning curve for me and for next time I know how to make things even more exciting and happy. Thanks also awesome Rosie’s Kitchen for supplying me with the cakes %Edinburgh weddings, portrait and modeling photographer %Edinburgh wedding and portrait studio Thank you Rosie.

And here is before and after %Edinburgh weddings, portrait and modeling photographer %Edinburgh wedding and portrait studio

%Edinburgh weddings, portrait and modeling photographer %Edinburgh wedding and portrait studioCertainly it was great experience and definitely scrubbing studio after the session has paid off %Edinburgh weddings, portrait and modeling photographer %Edinburgh wedding and portrait studio Soon I will post a full article on my smash the cake experience with lovely baby girl. Keep an eye here.

Thank you all for coming along to read and feel free to drop a line in comments box.

Cheers.
