You are planning to get your newborn photos done at your environment. Here you will find a couple of real full sessions I have done and a portfolio selection. It should give you an excellent idea of what kind of portrait you might be getting.

Here are a few things to consider if you are planning newborn photo session at home.

– Newborn sessions at home are less posed, no props involved. Meaning I would use whatever you have at your home to create images.
– Size of space and available light. I usually create newborn portraits with only available light. I would recommend you to send me some photos of rooms so I can see how is light in your house. I can bring some additional lighting to enhance light quality.
– I would recommend you tidy up the house.
– Warm up house/rooms by 2 degrees, so it’s nice and toasty.

Newborn Photoshoot at home | Lynn and Chris

"Armands came highly recommended to us by a friend who'd had photos taken of her baby.We were excited to be selected for one of Armands’ photo shoots at home. We weren't sure what to expect in terms of poses, where in our house we'd have photos taken or even how long the session would take! However, we needn’t have been concerned: Armands arrived at our house and his charming manner immediately made us comfortable as he moved about the house looking for the best lighting and backgrounds to use in his images. His professionalism was apparent in the ease with which he set up shots using the furniture and props around the house, even moving us from room to room as the light coming through the windows moved as the day went on.

Throughout the session, Armands was a pleasure to be directed by and he was fantastic with our baby who remained asleep for the duration of the shoot. Armands even had some great baby advice for our little girl. We’ve asked if he does babysitting!

A week later, Armands presented us with a slideshow of our session and we were absolutely delighted by the finished photographs. We were amazed at the outcome which was beyond our expectations.”

"Armands arrived at our house for a photoshoot when our second baby Esmie was just six weeks old.  You cannot help but like him, he has a lovely warm, relaxed and friendly nature.  He was an instant hit with our three-year-old daughter Elise who by the end of the session she had him running around the house and playing games with her.  We didn’t think she was going to let him leave.

Armands was professional with a wonderful talent and eye for an amazing photograph. On arrival, he brought Danish pastries from the local bakery which is always a hit and we sat back with a cup of tea to discuss what he had in mind and he presented a small mood board to show his ideas of shooting our newborn plus family around our home.  It was to be a documentary style shoot, which was a new angle for Armands, and we were to be a trial for him.

After showing him around our house he set to work and was thorough and fantastic, capturing moments as the morning progressed.  It felt natural and easy.

As well as being an absolute hit with the toddler he was utterly amazing with our newborn and knew instinctively how to relax and calm her while moving her into the required positions.

On presentation of our photographs / slideshow we were blown away.  The slideshow brought emotional tears to both Robin and my eyes.  Armands truly is a wonderful photographer with an amazing talent and we would not hesitate in recommending him and using him for our next event, whatever that may be!”
