Hello everyone. Today I will share with you Gemma’s and Andrew’s Broxmouth Park wedding photography story. It was absolutely fabulous day, much fun and great photography. The day started like usual with boys and girls getting ready. Andrew climbed on the rooftop of his Defender :) Girls had a lot of giggles and Gemma’s mum maid awesome bridesmaids dresses. My jaw dropped when I was told that those are made by her. Honestly girls, if you are after nice dresses, speak to her :)
This was my first wedding at the venue and of course my head was exploding of ideas and wishes to run around photographing every possible corner. We did nice test shoot prior the wedding and if you haven’t seen it, please visit this link here I always do photography run trough so that on the day we move faster and we know what we are doing, plus couples are always a lot more relaxed on the day :) Venue setting is beautiful and it gives you so so much to try out. It is one of those places where I could shoot all day long :)
Ceremony was beautiful and venue has unique staircase which is used for ceremonies and beautiful big group shot. Ceremony followed by nice and relaxed wedding group photos. This is one of those moments during the wedding where I have to be really on the ball and get trough as quick as I can. I photograph all formals, but like always I had a second photographer who did all my candids and I always prefer off angle shots. You will be able to see them during the story as well. This time I worked with talented Karolina and she did very good job of getting what I was after.
There was nice moment during the speeches when Gemma had a present from the guests. It was beautiful stain-glass window. We got a bit emotional, but it is all part of the big day. Happiness, smiles, hugs, tears all of that was happening throughout the day and it was such an honour to be story teller of the day.
Finished with some of my signature evening photos and I tried few new things as well. Venue has an awesome big mirror and I had an idea to create film feel set where guys would be fixing themselves up. Like applying lipstick and andrew fixing his tie. I love those dark images and hope you will like my evening stuff as well.
I think it is enough talking and I should show you some results :)
It is my pleasure to introduce to you Mr and Mrs Skinner.
