Baby Colds & Coughs | Nutritional Advice | A-Fotografy

Children tend to get between 5 and 10 colds each year, and during the months from September to March they may appear to be full of cold all the time. Do you remember the ‘Freshers’ Flu’ of your university days? It turns out that young children’s colds are similarly in sync with the academic year. ‘The 35th week of the year (usually the last week of August) is when the common cold season starts in Scotland – you can set your clock by it,’ says Professor Turner. ‘Similarly there is a virus called RSV which gives everyone a nasty cold and infants a nasty infection which arrives the week before Christmas.’ Oh, joy.

Dundas castle wedding photos for Mr and Mrs Love

It was my first time getting the opportunity to photograph at the incredible Dundas Castle, just outside of Edinburgh. The castle is magnificent – it looks like it’s straight from the pages of a fairytale. The castle has a lot of history too, with parts of the building dating back to 15th century, which makes it a treat to take photographs in. My favourite location was the pool room. As soon as I walked in, I knew I had to get a shot of the men in there, and in the evening Daniela and I returned with Lauren and Martin to take some moody, romantic shots!

Lisa and Joseph – A Winter Hopetoun House Wedding

Hopetoun House Manor made for a beautifully imposing venue – quite possibly the grandest of all wedding venues in Edinburgh, decorated for Christmas charm. The bride arrived, and this was it. All of the planning, and it comes to that poignant moment where the bride and groom meet at the alter. The twenty-four hour countdown had begun – and I met the happy couple to-be at the breath-taking venue of Hopetoun House (a venue that could easily claim a title amongst the most beautiful places to get married in Edinburgh). Photography ideas were discussed, a yearlong wedding plan came together and Lisa and Joseph flipped between excitement and nervousness. As is obligatory – we hoped, prayed and crossed our fingers for good weather, doing a mental sun dance as we walked through the ceremony together.

The Byre at Inchyra Wedding photography | Sheonagh and Richard

It was my pleasure to document Mr and Mrs McPhee day at The Byre at Inchyra wedding. During our initial meetings these guys kept telling me how camera shy they are. Definitely not true, I simply could not get very serious faces from these guys. Both of them kept giggling and having a great time. Day before wedding it was pretty stormy day and I started to get a bit nervous, but I shouldn’t. I think guys very praying pretty hard and they managed to set their ceremony outdoors. Crisp dry and sunny morning led everyone in pretty relaxed moods and day could start.
